Somebody mentioned to me that the interviews are very interesting to read and that they’d like to ask some questions themselves. So I’m offering an opportunity for you to ask some questions to people that I can easily contact.
Post a question in the comments section and who you are asking.
I’ll forward the question along and then post a compilation of answers sometime later (if I ever get enough questions/answers to post). I don’t really think anybody reads this blog, and those that do don’t usually post comments so I’m not expecting for this to go anywhere. But please prove me wrong, it’d make me really happy. You can post anonymously if you’d like to, I have no way to see who posts what if you choose a name that I don’t recognize.

I met Sam when I was a sophomore undergrad at BU. Every once in awhile he’d say something, but usually he’d just be quiet and mysterious. I still find that largely to be true except that now, there’s an aura of celebrity that lines the mystery…in my mind at least..and I think for everybody else in Bulletproof Funk. Whenever we’d do shows and performances, he would be nowhere to be seen and would usually skip tech times, ignore phone calls, and then show up seconds before we went on stage dressed in the incorrect stuff but would then kill the performance. Right after we step off stage, he would put earbuds in his ears and would leave the building muttering something about having something else to do. He is the rockstar. He does what he wants. Ladies love him and guys want to be him and if they don’t it’s because they hatin. In my mind’s eye, Sam Shin is a twelve-thousand year old 10 foot tall completely-unamused rock god. He’s also quite adorable when you talk to him. Sam is fluent in four languages–Japanese, Korean, English, and bad South Park impressions.
Figure 1. Sam Shin master of the unlikely.
Anyways! Interview!

Bulletproof Funk was created so that we could tap into university resources and offer an open space to practice. This year, 3 out of the 4 officers of the group have just graduated! So I thought it would be a nice send off to do a brief blog interview of Greg, Sam, and James (sorry Nick you haven’t graduated yet!) These guys are passionate about dance and have contributed a lot to the group. I’ve completed all three interviews but wasn’t sure what order to post them—I decided that I’d post them in the order that I met the people!
I met Greg in highschool (I guess 6 or 7 years ago!). I was just beginning to date my girlfriend Jenn and during school, I only had 4 minutes between classes to flirt with her to somehow convince her to like me. During these 4 minutes, I’d play it cool and tell some jokes and be flirty…I remember trying pretty hard actually because I really liked her. A couple times, the conversation would be going in the right direction and then fucking out of nowhere like a scary movie serial killer Gregory Li would literally mash himself between us and start talking about who-knows-what. 4 minutes homie! I never even met him before, but that’s my first memory of Greg.
After knowing Greg for awhile now, I find that characteristic endearing. Greg always says what’s on his mind and he’ll say it to your face (really close to your face I wish you would back up a little bit dude). He’s a real man in this way. He has a very strong personality and really stands out to me as being unique. I really don’t know anybody else quite like Greg.
This is what Greg would look like morphed with Jennifer Lopez:
Figure 1. I would.
All right, let’s move on to the interview!!
